يتناول الكتاب ذلك من قبيل احترام الحق الإنساني للمطلقة في الحياة بعيدة عن سيطرة التجربة الفاشلة ولتتمكن من أن تصنع لنفسها حياة (سعيدة) بكل ما تعنيه هذه الكلمة بعد أن تتغلب على العقبات الكثيرة التي تحول دون حصولها على السعادة وما أكثرها... ويطرح الكاتب تساؤلات المطلقات ومخاوفهن وأحلامهن أيضاً... ويجيب على تساؤلات هامة... مثل... كيف تتعامل المطلقة مع طلاقها؟ كيف تواجه خذلات الأهل والأصدقاء بعد حدوث الطلاق؟ كيف تتخلص من الإحساس بالظلم والرثاء للذات؟ كيف تواجه مشاكل الحياة وتتعلم الاستقلالية؟ كيف تتعامل مع أبنائها بعد الطلاق؟ كيف تواجه المطلقة المجتمع؟ كيف تتعامل المطلقة مع شعورها بالإنهاك العصبي والتعب النفسي؟ كيف تواجه أحاسيس الوحدة والوحشة؟ كيف لا تعيش في الماضي أو تهرب فيه بالتصابي والتعامل كأنها فتاة لم تتزوج بعد؟ كيف تقدم على الزواج الثاني؟ وكيف تتجنب الزواج الوفي؟ كيف تقيم (علاقة) حب وطيدة بينها وبين الحياة بدءا من حبها لذاتها؟.
