هذا كتاب فيء (أساليب تدريس قواعد اللغة العربية)، وهو يقع في سبعة فصول، وقد تفاوتت هذه الفصول بحسب محتوى الفصل والقضايا التي يعالجها. يتناول الفصل الأول: مقدمة في اللغة بشكل عام واللغة العربية بشكل خاص وخصائص اللغة، ووظيفة اللغة بالنسبة للفرد والمجتمع، وخصائص اللغة العربية، ووظيفتها. أما الفصل الثاني: فيتناول (في قواعد اللغة العربية وتيسيرها) وتضمن هذا العنوان عناوين فرعية هي: مفهوم القواعد والنحو، والأهداف العامة لتدريس قواعد اللغة العربية، وأسباب صعوبة قواعد النحو، ومحاولات تيسير قواعد النحو. ويتناول الفصل الثالث (طرائق التدريس)، وشملت نبذة عن نشوء الطريقة وتطورها، وعلاقة طرائق التدريس بفلسفة التربية وأهدافها. وكان الفصل الرابع: خاصاً بطرائق تدريس قواعد اللغة العربية، والبدء بتدريس هذه القواعد. ويتناول الفصل الخامس: بعض الدراسات الخاصة بطرائق تدريس قواعد اللغة العربية، وهي دراسة الخياط، ودراسة الدليمي، ودراسة السلطاني، ودراسة الدليمي ونجم، ودراسة العزاوي، ودراسة الخماسي، وتناول أيضا دراسات أجنبية خاصة بقواعد تلك الدراسات، ومنها دراسة كلوزر، ودراسة روبنسن، ودراسة مولكاهي. أما الفصل السادس: فيتناول أسلوب المواقف التعليمية في تدريس قواعد اللغة العربية، وتضمن تمهيداً وتعريفاً بمزايا هذا الأسلوب. وجاء الفصل السابع متضمناً لدروس مختارة في تدريس قواعد اللغة العربية بأسلوب المواقف التعليمية. لقد فصل المؤلف في أسلوب المواقف، وأعطى دروساً كثيرة في هذا الأسلوب، بوصفه أسلوباً حديثاً في تدريس القواعد، ولأن مؤلفات طرائق تدريس اللغة العربية تضمنت تفصيلات كثيرة عن الأساليب الأخرى، وأنها لم تذكر أسلوب المواقف إلا قليلاً.
