يختص هذا البحث بدراسة مادة القواعد في اللغة العربية في المرحلة المتوسطة وبالتحديد في صف واحد هو الصف السابع الأساسي، وفي منطقة تمثل الواقع التربوي هي منطقة النبطية وضواحيها، انطلقت خلالها المؤلفة من فرضية الإختلاف في مستويات ممارسة اللغة عند التلاميذ: كتابة وقراءة، وتأثير طريقة الإمتحانات، وأسلوب الأسئلة والتمارين والتطبيقات، ثم تأثير الكتاب المدرسي، ومنهجيته. كل ذلك يأتي بهدف وصف الواقع اللغوي في المدارس انطلاقاً من وقائع ميدانية، فكان مخطط الدراسة مشتملاً على مقدمة، وسبعة فصول، وخاتمة، تناولت خلالها المؤلفة القواعد العربية وقضاياها، انطلاقاً من تحديد ماهية الصرف والنحو، وتعريفها، ونشأة هذين العلمين وبحثت في تعليم قواعد اللغة العربية وأهدافه، ودرست وحللت واقع تدريس الصرف والنحو من خلال طرائق التعليم، وخطوات التدريس في المرحلة المتوسطة، لتصل إلى تحديد المشكلات التي تواجه تعليم هذه المادة، استناداً إلى الواقع ومعطياته. إلى ذلك، تعرض المؤلفة واقع اختبارات الصرف والنحو، بدءاً بتحديد ماهية الإختبارات (الإمتحانات والتقويم/ التقويم، والقياس) استناداً إلى نماذج من الإختبارات المدرسية والرسمية مع العمل على تحليلها، وتفنيد أسئلتها. إلى آخر ذلك من خطوات منهجية وعملانية، استندت خلالها إلى آراء المعلمين حول الفروض والتمرينات، وآرائهم حول كتاب القواعد، مع إيراد نماذج. وختمت بدراسة سبل تحسين تعليم الصرف والنحو من خلال دراسة (وسائل التدريس)، ومواصفات كتاب القواعد وأهميته، وكيفية مراعاة الفروق الفردية، وربطها بأسس المنهجية الجديدة في مناهج التعليم اللبناني...
