يعتبر مؤلف الكتاب أن المشكلة الأساسية في نظرة المخالفين إلى دين الإسلام هو أن هؤلاء " ... ثقافتهم مبنية على الحرية المطلقة وهي مرادف عندنا لما يعرف بالهوى أو مرادفة للذوق الشخصي فمن الصعب جداً بالتالي أن يفهموا عقلية التسليم بالأمور التي يعتنقها المسلم بل دائماً ينظرون للأمور بنظرتهم الخاصة للأمور غافلين أن فهم الإنسان قاصر على أن يحيط بكل أبعاد أي موضوع إجتماعي حتى يكتشف الأفضل للأمة".
