يأتي هذا الكتاب في بابين رئيسين أندرج تحتهما العديد من الفصول, حيث تضمن الباب الأول (الأستثمار ودراسة الجدوى الأقتصادية للمشروعات الأستثمارية) ثلاثة فصول خصص الفصل الأول منه لمعلجة بعض المفاهيم الأساسية حول عملية الأستثمار, أما الفصل الثاني فقد خصص لمعلجة المسائل المتعلقة بدراسة الجدوى الأقتصادية من حيث المفاهيم والمسائل التي تعالجها كل من تلك الدراسات أما الفصل الثالث فقد خصص لمعالجة أساليب المفاضلة بين البدائل التكنلوجية والفرص الأستثمارية المتاحة. أما الباب الثاني (معايير تقييم المشروعات الأستثمارية ) فقد تضمن ستة فصول خصص الفصل الرابع لمعالجة المسائل الأساسية المتعلقة بعملية تقييم المشروعات من حيث المفهوم والأهمية والأهداف وأسس ومراحل عملية التقييم والمعايير المستخدمة أما الفصل الخامس فقد خصص لمعالجة معايير الربحية التجارية غير المخصومة في ظل ظروف التأكد بينما خصص الفصل السادس لمعالجة معايير الربحية المخصومة , وقد خصص الفصل السابع لمعالجة معايير الربحية التجارية في ظل ظروف عدم التأكد بينما خصص الفصل الثامن لمعالجة المسائل المتعلقة لمعايير قياس الربحية القومية والأجتماعية. ونظرا لأن عملية تقييم المشروعات لا تنحصر مهمتها في تقييم المشروعات الجديدة بل تستمد لتشمل المشرعات القائمة, ومن أجل تكامل الموضوع لذا فقد تم تخصيص الفصل التاسع لمعالجة مسائل النظرية والعلمية المتعلقة بتقييم كفائة الأداء في المشروعات القائمة.
