"ذكريات معتقل .. من جوانتانامو(كوبا)" رواية تقرأ من عنوانها، سيرة روائية لمؤلفها حسين عبد القادر يسرد من خلالها قصة اعتقاله مساء يوم 25/5/2002 في باكستان مروراً بترحيله إلى قاعدة بجرام في أفغانستان ومن ثم إلى سجن غوانتامو وصولا إلى رجوعه إلى باكستان وإطلاق سراحه بعد أن اكتشف الأميركان أنه ليس بإرهابيا. لا يشكل خطورة على القوات المسلحة الأميركية أو مصالحها في أفغانستان ..." هذا الكلام لم يكتشفه الأميركان إلا بعد ستة وعشرين شهراً من تعذيب وإهانة تعرض لها كاتب السيرة على قاعدة (ليس من رأي كمن سمع) فالألم لا يعرفه إلا من جربه على يد من يدّعون الحرية وحقوق الإنسان والشعارات الزائفة ... وهكذا أصبحت الدقائق الخمس التي بدأ بها حسين عبد القادر رحلته إلى مركز التحقيق "ستة وعشرين شهرا".
يقول المؤلف في مقدمة الكتاب " .. إذا كانت الدول والمؤسسات الآن، تعتمد على دراسات وأبحاث وإحصائيات وجمع معلومات، بشتى الطرق وكافة الأساليب، وتصدر بعد ذلك أحكامها، وتطبق مخططاتها وتنفذ توسعاتها وأطماعها، بناء على هذه المعلومات، فإن رب العالمين الذي خلق البشر، ويعلم ما توسوس به نفوسهم وتنطوي عليه أفئدتهم، لا يحتاج إلى هذه الأبحاث والدراسات، وهو الذي يقول ويحكم ولا معقب لحكمه وهو أصدق القائلين. قال تعالى " ... ودوا لو تكفرون كما كفروا فتكونون سواء (النساء: 89 ...) لينتهي الكاتب إلى قناعة أن (الشرق شرق والغرب غرب ولن يلتقيا) وبالتأكيد هذه القناعة لا يتوصل إليها الإنسان إلا بعد التجربة.
هذا، وتتضمن السيرة: طريقة الإعتقال، طريقة التحقيق، الطعام، قصص لأسرى آخرين، الشغب في المعتقل وأشياء أخرى.
