نجح المعتقلون في معتقل غوانتنامو، من خلال طاقة الشعر الجبارة، في قهر ما حاق بهم من ظلم، فهم معتقلون بمعزل عن العالم الخارجي دون تهمة أو محاكمة، ومحرومون من الحق في الاتصال بالأهل، وبهذا سلبوا أولى حقوق الإنسان الأساسية. ومع ذلك، فهم يخاطبون بالشعر ضمير الناس جميعاً في كل مكان، إذ إن قصائدهم التي تسربت من هذا المعتقل شاهد حي على قدرة الإنسان الأصلية على مقاومة الطغيان واحتمال ألوان الجور التي ينزلها بهم من يتشدقون بالحرية وحقو الإنسان، بل أعلى هؤلاء صوتاً. والقصائد مشربة بالإيمان في حتمية انتصار الحق والعدل في آخر الأمر، والإيمان بطبيعة القلب البشري، وروابط التعاطف الأولية التي تشد الناس بعضهم إلى بعض في شتى أنحاء العالم، وهي تأخر بالاحتجاج على الاضطهاد والنفاق من جانب من ألقوا بهم في غياهب السجن. ولسوف يجد القارئ في هذه القصائد صوراً حية ومنوعة لقدرة الإنسان على قهر المعاناة وعلى الانتصار مهماً كانت مرارة المحنة. محمد عنان
