Book Description
يهدف الكتاب إلى تسليط الضوء على بدايات الوعي العربي للخطر الصهيوني والدلائل والمؤشرات عليه، وإبراز أهميته وتأثيره والتطور الذي طرأ عليه، وكيفية مواجهة العرب هذا الخطر. كما يهدف إلى معرفة إلى أي درجة ارتقى العرب في هذه المواجهة وكانوا بمستوى الحدث، ومعرفة مكامن الخلل في معركتهم هذه والمقومات والظروف التي نجح من خلالها الصهاينة حيث فشل العرب.
تكمن أهمية هذا الكتاب في كونه يرصد ويدرس الوعي العربي من جهة، ومتى بدأ هذا الوعي وكيف تطور مع تطور المشروع الصهيوني، والظروف التي رافقت هذا التطور، والآلية والوسائل المستخدمة في التعبير عن هذا الوعي؛ كما تكمن في الحقبة التي يغطيها الكتاب من جهة أخرى، منذ انعقاد المؤتمر الصهيوني الأول في بال عام 1897، إلى الإعلان عن وعد بلفور في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 1917، الذي تأتي أهميته بمنحه الشرعية والمظلة الدولية لمقررات ذلك المؤتمر.
يتضمن الكتاب خمسة فصول إلى جانب الخلاصة التنفيذية والمقدمة والتوصيات. الفصل الاول بعنوان: "بدايات الوعي العربي لخطر الفكرة الصهيونية 1897-1917"، والفصل الثاني: "بدايات الوعي العربي لخطر الهجرة والاستيطان اليهودي الصهيوني"، والفصل الثالث: " بدايات الوعي العربي لخطر شراء الصهيونية للأراضي"، والفصل الرابع: " بدايات الوعي العربي لهدف الصهيونية إقامة دولة مستقلة في فلسطين"، والفصل الخامس: " بدايات الوعي العربي للخطر الاقتصادي للمشروع الصهيوني، 1897-1917".
