ما يجعل هذه السيرة فريدة وخاصة كونها كتبت بناءً على معلومات مباشرة من الملك سعود نفسه.فقد كان المؤلّفضيفه وكاتب سيرته لمدّة ستة أشهر في اليونان، حيث كان يبقى معه حتى ساعة متأخّرة لتدوين ذكرياته وتعليقاته، فضلاً عن مشاعره وآماله ورؤيته للمملكة. ويرى المؤلّف أن الملك سعود ترك للسعوديين منجزات كبيرة أطلقت الجزيرة نحو الميدان الدولي الفسيح. فقد أسّس لنهضة التعليم وأطلق المدارس الثانوية وجامعتين وتعليماً فنّياً زراعياً وصناعياً وتجارياً. كما أنشأ مستشفيات حكومية ومستوصفات ومراكز صحّية. وأصدر مرسوماً يقضي بإنشاء الهلال الأحمر في البلاد السعودية. وبعد أن كانت الزراعة شبه مهملة في المملكة، أصبحت في عهد الملك سعود أحد المرافق الاقتصادية الهامّة في البلاد. بالنسبة إلى أولئك الذين يهتمّون ببداية تاريخ المملكة العربيةالسعودية، كما إلى أولئك الذين لديهم اهتمام خاص بإرث الملك سعود بن عبد العزيز، من الصعب العثور على أي وثيقة أفضل من هذه السيرة.
