إن الأخطار التي تحيق بالشرق الأوسط عامة والشرق العربي خاصة حقيقة لا مجال للشك فيها، أخطار سياسية يواكبها جيش من العقائديات التي تمهّد للسيطرة تماماً كما تمهِّد المدفعية للمشاة في كسب المعركة.
وليست هذه الأخطار أو ما هُيأ لها، كما سيرد بوضوح في هذا الكتاب، وليدة تطورات تمخض عنها القرن العشرين، بما تتفاعل فيه من تحوّلات حديثة، إنما هي قديمة قدم منطقة الشرق الأوسط وتعود إلى عهود الطامعين بالسيطرة على أممه وخيراته.
والشيوعية عقيدة تكاد تكون ديناً لا تدخل جيوشها أرضاً ما لتمتزج بأقوامها إلا إذا قضت على عقائد هذه الأقوام وعلى ثقافاتهم في عالمي الدين والدنيا.
من هنا، نجد أن الصراع الطويل الأمد، البطيء الخطى، بين التسلل الشيوعي إلى منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشعوب هذه المنطقة كان ولا يزال صراعاً عنيفاً، خفياً حيناً وظاهراً أحياناً، والصراع بحد ذاته هو دليل جازم على عامل المقاومة البديهية الكامنة في عقائد شعوب هذه المنطقة، تلك التي تقوم على قواعد متينة ونواميس طبيعية لا تستطيع العقائد الدخيلة أن تدحرها، أياً كان مصدرها.
وهمنا الرئيسي من هذه الدراسة الموضوعية هو أن تكون أساساً لكل عمل سياسي، أو نشاط دبلوماسي، يقوم به القيّمون على مقدرات منطقة الشرق الأوسط، وذلك من خلال الأحداث التي عرضنا مسبباتها ونتائجها بكل بساطة وصراحة.
ومحور الموضوعية التي نعتمد أننا لا ندعو إلى السير في ركاب الغرب، ولا ندفع إلى التحامل على الشرق السوفياتي والصيني، لأننا نؤمن أولاً بديمومة ذاتيتنا، وبالتالي نلحّ على ألا نخضع صداقاتنا وخصوماتنا إلى غير المصالح الأساسية لشعوب في منطقة حساسة، كانت وسوف تبقى، نقطة الإرتكاز في الحضارة الإنسانية.
