في هذه الدراسة موضوعات كثيرة يمكن تلخيصها على النحو التالي:
1-مدخل عام لدراسة الشعر السعودي المعاصر يضع القرشي في موضعه الصحيح من مسيرة هذا الشعر.
2-أربعة أبواب - هي قوام الدراسة - تضمن الباب الأول موضوع القرشي في واقعه الشعري.
وتضمن الباب الثاني هيمنة النوازع الذاتية، والصراع المحتدم بين نزعتي التعفف والإباحية الشعريتين.
وتضمن الباب الثالث - وهو قلب الدراسة ومستجمع فصولها - عنواناً عاماً هو: دراسة الفن الشعري دراسة نقدية جمالية أسلوبية شاملة.
أما الباب الرابع والأخير فقد تضمن دراسة الشاعر دراسة موازنة مع أقرانه السعوديين المعاصرين.
