الحب هو كلّ شيء في هذه الحياة ولا يوجد شيء غيره فهو الحياة فعلاً.. الحياة هي الحب ولذلك لا شيء يجعلك تضحي بحياتك إلاّ الذي تحب ولا قيمة إذاً لهذه الحياة إن لم تجد فيها الذي يستحقها حين تحب.. وما أعظم الحياة التي تُهدى وتُفنى لمن وفي من تحب. يقول الإغريق القدماء على لسان مؤرخهم هيسيود: إن الله خلق الأرض والحب معًا فكانا أول مخلوقين إطلاقًا، وكيف لا يكون الحب مخلوقًا وأنت لا تجده في الأشياء في بدايتها بل تكتشفه بعد حين فقط، حيث إنه مخلوق تصنعه مخيلتك حول شيء رأيته عاديًا في بدايته لكنك حين ألبسته لباس الحب وجدته شيئًا آخر، لكنك لا تخلق هذا الحب من لا شيء، فأنت تخلقه من كلّ شيء جميلٍ كان في حياتك، من بسمة أمك حين كنت تشفى، ومن يوم أنهكك فيه الجري بين الحقول حتى عدت إلى حضن جدك، ومن بسمات الفقراء الذين كانوا يرون فيك البطل الذي سينقذهم من بطش التجار والطغاة.. الحب يصنع من أبسط الأشياء شررًا ثم يستحيل نارًا تحرق كلّ شيء! فمت عاشقًا إن شئت أن لا تموت..
