"كنت أتساءل إن كان هنالك صنف من الرجال يقوى على مقاومة كلّ هذا، أو كان سيصمد إلى هذه المرحلة". "وأنا أمشي إلى جانبها وأهوي في الرغبة كنتُ أتذكر كالثمل كلّ الأحاديث عن شارع المكتبة، عن درج الشاعر الطويل حيث تبادل نشطاء الإنتفاضة الأولى المنشورات السريّة وخبأوا بيانات القيادة الموحدة للإنتفاضة، وها أنا أخطو قربه وأتحاشى النظر، مع أنّه اليوم أليفٌ ملوّن لا يصلح إلا للقاءات العشاق أو طالبي المتعة والممنوعات". "كنت أشعر أنّ كلّ لذّات الدنيا وشهواتها تجتمع لتحلّ في بدني، والشقراء تستدعيها تباعاً". "رام الله الشقراء" إنها الرواية التي تجعلك تقف على مرتفع تنظر منه إلى الواقع، ليس لتبتعد عن الحدث بل لتبقى قريباً عن ذاتك التي تصنع كل شيء، إنها الإجتماع الإرادة مع العجز في زمنٍ يفرضُ فيه الآخر الغريب طريقته في التنصُّل من الأخلاق، بحيث تغدو بلا قيمة، وعندما يصبح الإنسان متفلتاً من ثوابته يستهون القيام بأي عملٍ مشين، ولا يستطيع إنجاز أي عمل لأنه في ضياع، فيفقد القدرة على الإبداع، وبالنتيجة على المقاومة والنهوض. وهنا يحقق المحتلٌّ أهدافه في بث روح العجز عن طريق فنِّ خبيث إسمه الإلهاء.
