ربما تكون الروائية بتقديمها لعدة حالات تحاول إلقاء الأضواء على الإعوجاجات والتناقضات في بنية المجتمعات التقليدية وثقافتها التي حددت للمرأة سلفاً دورها في الحياة، فأرادت أن تصرخ وتقول لا بدلاً من جميع نساء الأرض وأناهم المكتومة ونداءاتهم الصامتة.
