يتناول هذا العمل بالتحليل والدراسة والتقييم ظاهرة الصحافة الخاصة التي كان ظهورها بمثابة انقلابا في بلاط صاحبة الجلالة وتحريكا للمياه الراكدة في الوسط الصحفي المطبوع والإلكتروني علي السواء وربما في برامج التوك شو في الفضائيات التي يعمل بها عدد كبير من الصحفيين في الصحافة الخاصة، كما سنتناول مفهوم الصحافة الخاصة وهل هي صحافة خاصة أم مستقلة وما هو الاسم الصحيح لها وما هو تاريخ نشأتها وتأسيسها الأول والإطار القانوني والتشريعي لها، مع إلقاء الضوء علي غرفة صناعة الصحافة الخاصة وسوف نتناول بعض معارك الصحافة الخاصة وضحاياها مع بيان نماذج من أبرز الصحف الخاصة وأهمها على الساحة الصحفية في العقود الأخيرة حتي الآن بعد انتهاء الفترة الرئاسية الأولي للرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي وبداية الفترة الثانية له، ثم التطرق إلى أخلاقيات ممارسة الصحافة الخاصة من خلال دراسة قام بها مؤلف الكتاب واستعراض آراء شيوخ المهنة في هذه الصحافة كظاهرة من الناحية التقيمية والتحليلية.
