أعطت جريدة القبلة الصادرة من مكة المكرمة (1334 - 1343) جانبًا من اهتماماتها للجانب الأدبي، فقد نشرت العديد من الفنون الأدبية العربية.
ومن ذلك الاهتمام نشر العديد من القصائد العامية (النبطية) التي تمثل فئة من المجتمع وأن الحسين بن علي كان بحاجة إليها في ظل النزاعات القائمة في المنطقة، وقد تميزت تلك القصائد بأنها لشعراء معاصرين لتلك الفترة، ولم يسبق لها النشر في دواوين الشعر العامي، بل أن بعض الشعراء تنشر قصائده لأول مرة. جمع الباحث عبد الله الرقيب الثبيتي القصائد العامية وعرَّ ف بشعرائها، وقدم لمحة موجزة عن سياسة الجريدة وأهدافها من نشر تلك القصائد، كما حاول إصلاح علاتها مرجحًا أسباب تلك العلل.
