تفاصيل مثيرة ومهمة طيلة خمسين عامًا، منذ لحظة اللقاء الأول، مرورًا بأحداث ومواقف في حياة القصيمي ومسيرته لم تروَ من قبل؛ نشاطه الفكري والثقافي في القاهرة ثم في بيروت، وقرارات إبعاده من القاهرة أولًا ثم من بيروت ثانيًا، أسبابها وتداعياتها، ومن هم أبرز ضيوف ندوته الأسبوعية، وكيف كانت تدار تلك الندوة؟
يتتبّع المؤلف تاريخيًّا مسار إصدارات ومؤلفات عبد الله القصيمي في تحولاته الفكرية الثلاث: السلفية ثم التجديديّة ثم التحرُّر والتمرُّد، وهي مؤلفات بلغت 22 كتابًا، بكل ما شاب تأليفها وطباعتها من ظروف وملابسات وحِيل للتغلّب على نقل بعض مخطوطاتها من القاهرة إلى بيروت، وأخيرًا باريس. لم يغفل المؤلف الإحباط الذي عاشه القصيمي بعد تراجُع توزيع كتبه في الوطن العربي بسبب منعها، وهو إحباط لازمه حتى وفاته.
