إذا كانت المؤتمرات التي تعقد بشأن اللغة في أطرها النظرية يمكن أن تؤدي إلى تصحيح بعض مسارات هذه اللغة وترشيد سبل تطويرها وتنميتها من حيث المفردات والأصول والأساليب ونحوها، فإن الندوات التي تعقد بشأن الشعر الفصيح، يمكن أن تصنع اللغويين أو تلهمهم وتبلور أذواقهم، كما تساعد على نشر اللغة في صورها واستعمالاتها الصحيحة الصافية، ذلك لأن من شأن هذه الندوات أن تهيِّئ لخلق جيل ناشئ من الشعراء. وهي في أقل تقدير تنوه بمكانة الشعر وتعظم قدره، فتزيد من عشاقه ومتذوقيه ودارسيه. والشعر قوامه وواجهته المشرقة هي اللغة السليمة الفصيحة كما هو معلوم، وفي ممارسته ودراسته أو ترديده وتذوقه والتأمل في تجاربه البديعة ما يصقل السلائق ويهذب الألسن وينمي ملكات التعبير ويحبب الناس في النهاية إلى اللغة التي صيغ وتحقق بها، وهكذا تنتشر هذه اللغة وبهذا الانتشار يعز شأنها وترتفع منزلتها.
هذا الترابط الوثيق بين اللغة والشعر والأدب عامة، هو الذي جمع بين مكونات هذا الكتاب «نظرات نقدية في اللغة والأدب والشعر.. على هامش المؤتمر: الجزء الثاني». يضاف إليه ذلك التشابه النسبي، الذي وجده المؤلف أ.د. أحمد محمد المعتوق، بين مؤتمرات (الميسا) التي تعقد في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا وتخصص حلقات منها للبحث في قضايا اللغة العربية، وبين ندوات الشعر التي تمثلها ندوات البابطين للإبداع الشعري. حيث يتشابه الإثنان – في نظر المؤلف – فيما يحدث من متعة اللقاء بين أصحاب الاهتمام المشترك، ثم في خصوبة الحوار، وحيوية النقاش، والحرية في طرح الآراء أو التعليق عليها، ونحو ذلك مما تفتقر إليه معظم الندوات العلمية والثقافية العربية، كما يتشابه الإثنان كذلك في تنوع الأعمال والفعاليات التي تهيئ للإلهام وللتفكير الحر والتداعي السلس للمواقف والقضايا والموضوعات والتصورات المثرية وشجون الذكريات. مما يصقل القريحة في النهاية، ويدعو إلى نشاط الفكر، ليفيض بمثل ما تضمّنه هذا الكتاب من المقالات والدراسات النقدية المعمقة. فهذه الأعمال تتناول قضايا حيوية مهمة في اللغة والأدب والشعر، وقد نشأت أصولها كلها، وتبلورت على هامش تلك المؤتمرات والندوات، وتكونت من وحي أنشطتها وأعمالها الفكرية والأدبية ذات العلاقة.
