وتمثل الدراسة المتعلقة بظاهرة "الاشتراك اللفظي" المحور الثاني من هذا المصنف، وتبحث بالألفاظ العربية المشتركة المعاني ومن ضمنها ألفاظ الأضداد. ولا ريب في أن هذه الألفاظ بنوعيها شاركت بنحو فعال في إثراء الرصيد اللغوي في تنمية ملكية البيان، وتقوية البراعة في التعبير.
أما الدراسة الثالثة فكانت حول ظاهرة السجع، حيث حملت إلينا خطب العرب ووصاياهم وأمثالهم وأقوالهم المأثورة نماذج من الأسجاع دلت على ذوق فني رفيع في استعمال اللغة وبراعة فائقة في استغال إمكانياتها الصوتية والتركيبية في التعبير عن الفكر والشعور بمختلف أبعاده وصوره.
