تشتغل شيماء يوسف العنقري على المناطق الضبابية من الذات الأنثوية، فتبرز ما هو خفي ومكتوم وغير مرئي من المشاعر والأحساسيس. فإذا ما اعتبرنا أن العنوان «رمادية المشاعر» هو المدخل لفهم النص، وتفسيره، وتأويله؛ فإننا نستطيع القول أن الشاعرة استطاعت من خلاله التوجه إلى المتلقي بدلالة بعينها، - مرآة الذات داخل الأنثى – وقد تنامت هذه الدلالة في فضاء الخطاب الشعري، في وضوح أحياناً، وفي خفاء أحياناً أخرى.في «حديث المرايا..!» تقول الشاعرة العنقري:"وأسأل في المرآة عيني:ما الذي حل بك؟! أي حزن كسا بريقك الليلة حتى اكتحلتِ بدمعك؟!/ ما بال رمشيك يرتجفان؟! هل طرقتهما الذكرى مجدداً وسكب الحنين رواياته؟!/ هل أسدلتِ ستائر الليل على أبواب نهاراتك ونوافذها؟!/ مهلاً يا نفسي/ أما آن لك أن تلتفتي إليكِ/ إليَّ؟!/ ها أنذا أمد إليك كل أيادي الرجاءاتِ:/ أفيقي. واستشعري كل جمال يحيط بك/ اعبثي بغيوم الحزن التي تتكوم في سمائك. بعثريها كلما همت بالهطول/ وانفثي في لجج النسيان كل الكآبات التي كانت/ رجوتُكِ.. عيشي لأجلي/ لأجلك".يضم الكتاب نصوصاً نثرية توزعت على ثلاثة عناوين رئيسية هي: 1- همسات الروح، 2- أوراق تتسلّل من ثقوب الذاكرة، 3- نصوص إبريل.
