يرى المؤلف بأن فلسفة اللغة هي العامل الأساسي في تحديد الآراء والمواقف المختلفة في علم الكلام والتفسير الديني والفلسفي، وهذا برأيه لا يصدق على الإسلام فقط، بل يراه يصدق على الأديان كافة، فمع اختلاف المواقف في اللغة والمعنى تختلف المواقف الدينية والفلسفية. النتيجة المباشرة لهذه الفرضية لديه هي أن المذاهب المختلفة في اللاهوت والتفسير الديني معتمدة على فلسفة اللغة. بذلك أي مذهب أو موقف في علم الكلام أو في التفسير الديني يعبر عن فلسفة اللغة ولا يعبر عن الدين أو الإسلام تحديداً. من هنا يقول المؤلف بأنه ليس بالمستطاع بالنسبة له معرفة ما هو المذهب الذي يعبر تعبيراً صحيحاً عن الإسلام، أي هو يرى من غير الممكن معرفة أي مذهب هو المذهب الإسلامي الصححي ويخلص من ذلك إلى أنه ونظراً إلى أن كل مذهب في علم الكلام والتفسير الديني يعبر عن فلسفة اللغة ولا يعبر عن الإسلام؛ إذاً لا يوجد مذهب إسلامي أو فكري هو المذهب الصحيح في الإسلام، وبذلك فإن كافة المذاهب مقبولة ومتساوية لديه، أي من غير المحدد ما هو الإسلام، وبذلك هو يرى بأن تشكل الإسلام يكون في المستقبل. منطلقاً من فلسفته تلك إلى تحديد مصطلحه "السوبر أصولية" الذي يحاول من خلال بحثه هذا تشكيله. فالسوبر أصولية تعتبر أن الأصول المعرفية والدينية قائمة في المستقبل فقط هذا ما يعسى المؤلف إلى الوصول إليه ضمن هذه الدراسة التي ضمت فصولاً أربعة بحثت أولاً في السوبر أصولية، ثانياً في الدلالة والمعنى واللغة، ثالثاً في فلسفة اللغة الإسلامية، رابعاً في الأقوال التحليلية والمجاز وفي تقسيم المعنى في الماضي المستقبلي.
