يحمل النص القرآني ميزة تلاقي الشكل بالجوهر؛ من حيث ظاهرة الإعجاز فهو في اللغة إعجاز وهو في المضمون إعجاز. وقد انطلق د.حميد مجول النعيمي في دراسته التي يضمها هذا الكتاب، في القرآن الكريم فبعد تدبره لآيات القرآن الكريم وجد أنها جديرة بالبحث المعمق من جهة، وللاسترشاد بآياته من جهة أخرى. وقد تناول التدبر في هذه الآيات على ضوء علم الفلك الذي هو ليس بعيد عن النص القرآني، حيث يبدأ المؤلف بتأمل ومناقشة تفسيرات النص القرآني ثم قام بمراجعة معطيات علم الفلك وفيزياء الفلك، قديماً وحديثاً موثقاً كذلك ومع التعديل حسب الحاجة.
وكان عرض مادة هذا الكتاب قائماً على أساس "التصاعد" بالموضوعات من حيث المحتوى، من الأسهل إلى الأصعب، ليوفر معاً حصيلة معرفية وفكرية وأسلوبية متراكمة برفق. وغاية المؤلف من وراء عمله هذا ليس الكشف عن إعجاز القرآن الكريم وحسب، بل لغاية منح العلوم آفاقاً لا تنفصل عن الإيمان بوصفه جذراً متأصلاً لكل علم أيضاً.
