"صحراء في اليدين" ديوان استخدم فيه الشاعر مقاربة فلسفية - تفكيكية شكلت رؤيته الخاصة إلى الوجود، في محاولة لمعرفة كنّه الحياة وسر الإنسان هي تساؤلات شاعر سطر بقلمه، معانٍ إنسانية عميقة نثرها على صفحات كتابه وفيه نقرأ: سييرا نيفادا كلّ من تاه عند هبوط الغسق على منحدرات الجبال عرف المشاعر المرتجفة التي تخلفها المداعبات المحمومة على وجه مدمّى وأنّ الريح الوحشية الكهربائية التي تجبرنا على البحث عن ملاذ تنبع من ذات الينبوع: تنصلُ الجبل المتواصل عن الأجساد المنفصلة (...) أنا أحلم الأيام وأمضي عبرها.
هذا، ويضم هذا الديوان الشعري ما يزيد عن تسعة وثلاثين قصيدة لإسماً بارزاً ومجدداً في الوسط الثقافي الدنماركي والذي ترجمت أعماله إلى العديد من اللغات العالمية نظراً لأهميتها.
