تتآلف عوالم الشاعرة ليلى قاسم الشعرية لتصب في أهم ثنائيات التكوين البشري (الرجل والمرأة) وتحديداً ضمن معادلة (الحب) وحسب ما هو واضح في الصور الشعرية، يبدو جلياً حضور ثنائيات الشاعرة المخصوصة والمرتبطة برؤيتها المتفردة للعلاقة مع الآخر كـ (روحٍ وحلم وحنين وشوق)، فكل شيء مؤسس على الذات الشاعرة، التي تجسد هوس البحث عن حقائق كبرى مثلى بكل معانيها وتجلياتها... ولا شك أن وعي الشاعرة المنفتح على تلك الثنائية هو ما أعطى القصائد بريقها، وجسدها كصور خيالية موحية ودالة وقائمة على الإيقاع اللغوي المناسب لتجسيد مفهوم العشق.. باختصار.
تقول الشاعرة في القصيدة المعنونة "لنقطف العشق":
"لا تردد أحبك/لا تنفضينا/قلوبنا تذوب/فقد استعصى اللقاء/مر بجباهنا ألق/وأيدينا بللها الندى/ونقطف الخزامى/ونخلع الجراح/ وسار الخصام/لا تردد/ فهذا المنال/ عبيرنا السراب/ وقوتنا البوح/ لنقطف العشق/ونروي الوريد/ونسكن العروق/ونطعم الصغار/يا نجمة الصباح ثوري/وانشري الضياء/لنا نديم/لا تحرمينا/دماؤنا صوت النديم/(...)".
