لقد صدر هذا التقرير بعد مضي ثلاث سنوات على أحداث الحادي عشر من سبتمبر 2001، ويعد هذا التقرير من أهم الوثائق التي صدرت في تاريخ الولايات المتحدة. وتتبع أهميتة من أهمية أحداث 9/11 نفسها. ومن كون اللجنة المكلفة تشكلت لتقدم الرواية النهائية حول الظروف والحقائق التي أحاطت بهجمات الحادي عشر من سبتمبر.
وفي هذا الكتاب يطرح المؤلف سؤالاً يتعلق بهذا التقرير مفاده هل أن هذا التقرير يستحق أن يعامل على أنه الرواية النهائية لأحداث 9/11، والمؤلف يؤكد أن هدف لجنة 9/11 لم يكن تقديم الرواية الأكثر اكتمالاً للأحداث المحيطة بـ9/11 بل التأكيد على أن الحكومة الأمريكية لم تكن مشتركة في هجمات 9/11، ولذا فإن المؤلف يراجع حقائق تم تجاهلها بخصوص الخاطفين المزعومين. كما يرى أن اللجنة تجاهلت العديد من الحقائق التي تناقض النظرية التي تقول بأن أبنية مركز التجارة العالمي قد سقطت بفعل الحرائق.
إن هذا الكتاب يلقي الضوء على كثير من الأمور التي تكشف حقيقة ما حدث في ذلك اليوم، وهو يثير الكثير من الأسئلة المتعلقة بمصداقية قادة هذه الدول العظمى التي يسمونها الولايات المتحدة.
