Book Description
عبر معمارها الفني المبني على خمسة عشر فصلا، تجيئ هذه الرواية وكأنها صفحات مفقودة من كتاب ألف ليلة وليلة، وتحكي عن سكان حي أسطوري في مدينة أمدرمان، سماه الراوي حي الزقزاق، وهم طائفة من البشر، يمتازون عن غيرهم بممارسة الزقزقة كالعصافير، وهذا ربما يرمز لتقبلهم اللامحدود للحياة، ولكن الحياة تتعكر بسبب زيدان الذي يشذ عن القاعدة ويجلب لنفسه العداوات ولحيه فقدان الأمان والراحة، وزيدان بطل الرواية الذي تعود جذوره إلى مناطق جبال النوبة شخص مثقف وله رؤاه ونظراته للأمور، وهذا ما جعله يصطدم بأناس لهم مصالحهم في إسكاته، هؤلاء يسميهم الراوي بالجماعة، وطوال الرواية لا نتبين هويتهم، فربما هم المافيا، أو أفراد ينتمون لأجهزة أمنية، وربما عصابة تريد أن تنهب المنطقة الأثرية التي تم اكتشافها في منطقة السينما المهجورة.
يتعرف زيدان على كاتبة صحفية يحكي لها عن حاله، وتنشأ بينهما علاقة حب، ترتكز الرواية في بعض فصولها على الاستفادة من هذه العلاقة وتوظيفها من الناحية الفنية.
ما يلفت في الرواية عناوين الفصول الغريبة، وهي طويلة نوعا ما وكأنها تقول: حتى الأشياء التي من المفترض أن تكون قصيرة، تطول في بلاد كأن لها حساب لانهائي في بنك الزمن، فمثلا تجد أحد الفصول باسم:" ما لا يمكن إخفاؤه أو حكايته همسا"، وآخر باسم:" ما يمكن إخفاؤه وحكايته كذبا"، وهكذا على نفس المنوال، كأننا دوما نهرب من الأشياء التي أمامنا ونبحث عن بديل.
الرواية جميلة ومشحونة بالعواطف، واستفادت من حكائية القصة القصيرة جدا في إغناء متنها الذي تلتقي فيه الكثير من الموضوعات كالحب والحرب والقبلية والعنصرية والحرية والاستبداد. وإن كانت شخصيات الرواية غريبة، فالواقع الذي يريد أن يحرمهم وجودهم لهو أكثر غرابة، في عالم بلا ضمير وجد أن أقسى عقوبة لأصحاب الضمير هي الصمت، وما الوسائل البشعة التي تمارس معهم إلا للوصول إلى منتهى أمنياتهم التي تضمن لهم البقاء واستغلال الناس: صمت الضمائر الحية".
