تُكتب القصص في لحظة حنين إلى الوطن؛ فكيف إذا كان الوطن "غزة" مصدر إلهام الكاتبة آية رباح، هذه الفلسطينية (الغزاوية) الهائمة في باريس بدت وكأنها تبحث لأبطالها عن حب لا يفنى، لتتقاسم معهم رحلتها الطويلة؛ فأبدعت لنا ملحمتها الراوئية «لأن الحب لا يفنى». هي رواية بحجم وطن سوف تتحول لنوستالجيا، في ذاكرة بطلتها "زهرة" الموزعة بين هموم فردية هي ذكريات الطفولة والاحتلال الإسرائيلي وقصف غزة 2014، وبين حبٍ غامرٍ عابرٍ بدأ ولم يكتمل، يروي قصة حب طبيبة ظنت أن الحب لا يفنى، وكاتب شاب رحل باكراً من دون أن يمنح فتاته فرصة الوفاء بوعدها؛ فرحلت إلى باريس لتنجو بنفسها وذكرياتها وعلمها.. تتابع طريقها في عالمٍ لا شيء فيه سوى الحب. الحب الذي لا يفنى أبداً.
«لأن الحب لا يفنى» رواية تُضفي على ملحمة المنافي الفلسطينية، قيمة أدبية انتظرناها طويلاً. تبدو آية رباح في روائيتها أقدر على التوفيق بين ما هو حالم وما هو واقعي، هذا التقابل هو الذي ولَّد هذه الطفرة الروائية المختلفة التي لا تُقدر بثمن في ميزان العواطف البشرية قبل أن تتظهَّر في رواية توحي أكثر ممَّا تصرِّح.
في كلمة أخيرة للرواية تكتب آية رباح: "أغلب ما ذكرته في الرواية قد حصل فعلاً بتلك التفاصيل العادية لقصة مسروقة في عالم سريع يعج بالظلام والنور، قصة مليئة بالجنون والموت. وهذه ليست مرثية ولا محطة لأتذكر أو أنظر إلى الوراء، إنها ببساطة ما يجب أن أتحرر منه كي لا يبقى جزء مني بعد الآن، وكي يعلم البعض أن الحب وإن كان لا يفنى أبداً فهو ليس منوطاً بشخص بعينه. الحب لا يفنى لأننا أحياء وقادرون أن نمنحه لمن يستحقه. كتبت هذه الذكريات كي أتذكر ويتذكر آخرون أن الزمن يشفي كل شيء، وما حسبناه نهايتنا يغدو في النهاية ليس لنا، الحياة التي كدت أفقدها بين لحظة وأخرى عبرت فيها وما زلت أعبر (...)".
