في هذا الكتاب يتناول الشيخ الدكتور سامي أبي المنى «رؤية الموحدين الدروز» للحوار الإسلامي المسيحي في لبنان، ويسلط الضوء على موضوع الحوار وأهميته في المنطقة في ظل تنامي التجاذبات الطائفية، مُركزاً على دراسة واقع المجتمع اللبناني، الذي يعتبر نموذجاً متقدماً للتنوّع الثقافي وللنشاط الحواري، وعلى واقع المجتمع التوحيدي "الدرزي"، بغية التعرف على رؤية الموحدين الحوارية، وبلورتها بواقعيةٍ وأمانة، ويهدف الكاتب من وراء ذلك، المساهمة في إزالة الغموض والسلبية تجاه الموحدين "الدروز"، وتأكيد اهتمامهم بالسلام والحوار على الرغم من تاريخهم المليء بالحروب الدفاعية والأحداث الدامية في منطقة "بلاد الشام"، والذين كانوا فيها، كسواهم من المجموعات، ضحية التدخلات الخارجية والفتن المصطنعة. إلا أنّ الموحدين "الدروز"، ومن منطلق عقيدتهم الإسلامية التوحيدية ومسلكهم العرفاني، يؤكدون بأنهم أهل حوارٍ وسلام، لا أهل خصامٍ وصدام، وهذا ما يحاول المؤلف بلورته في الكتاب من خلال التطرق إلى نظرتهم التوحيدية للحوار وقبول الآخر، وما تتضمنّه تلك النظرة من مفاهيم عرفانيّة وفلسفيّة وشرعيّة؛ ترتكز إلى العقل والحكمة، وما تعكسه على أرض الواقع من مفاهيم وطنيةٍ واجتماعية وإنسانية والوقوف، بالأخص، على ما يُمكن استبطانه واستنتاجه من "مسلك التوحيد"، وما يدعو إليه هذا المسلك من محبةٍ وترفُّع عن الكراهية والأنانية، ومن سلوكٍ أخويٍّ راقٍ وشفاف، يكون سبيلاً للارتقاء إلى محبة الخالق والعيش الآمن في كنفه جلّ وعلا.
