في "اسمع صلاتي أيها القلم" نصوص قلقة تدور حول سؤال الذات، مفهوم الإله، الحب، الزمن، البدايات والنهايات، الشك، واليقين. كل تلك المفردات أحالها الشاعر "عبد اللطيف الحرز" إلى نصوص وتأويلات تعبر عن تلك العوالم المرتبكة في مرحلة ما بعد الحداثة وهي تسائل عالم الإنسان عن معنى وجوده، لذلك بدا العمل وكأنه يشرع النصوص فاتحاً أبوابها أمام الشعر الذي يخلق العالم من جديد.
تحت عنوان "بوصلة أخرى للمتاهة" يقول الشاعر: "وعلى الطريق.. ذات الطريق/ حجرُ ينكر جاره الحجرا/ وعلى الطريق/ إسفلت أسود بامتداد/ خططت علامته/ احمر/ بقايا السلاح/ علاماتُ تهدي/ أطفالاً شيب الرؤوس/ يولدون بلا القلوب/ بلا أمهات/ وعلى الطريق/ ذات المرسوم الجمركيَة/ لجنة لا يعرفها/ سوى خطباء المنابر/ وكتَاب صحف المساء/ ... لثورةٍ/ وشيكة ستأتي/ لا يرفع راياتها الخضراء/ سوى المذياع/ (...)/ المتاهة طريق/ لا يحتاج إلى بوصلة/ فالضياع هو الضياع".
