مايا أبو الحيّات ـ روائيّة وشاعرة من فلسطين، مواليد بيروت 1980.
أصدرتْ روايتها الأولى "حبّات السكّر" في العام 2004، أتبعتْها بديوان شعر في العام 2007 بعنوان "ما قالته فيه".
ثم صدرتْ روايتها "عتبة ثقيلة الروح" في العام 2010، وديوان "تلك الابتسامة...
ذلك القلب" في العام 2012.
كما تكتب مايا للأطفال, وتعمل معهم.

في هذا الكتاب حكاية عن عائلة مشتّتة مؤلّفة من أمّ لبنانيّة وأب فدائيّ وابنتيهما يارا وجمانة، ورحلة الشتات الإضطراريّة بين لبنان والأردن وتونس ثم إلى فلسطين الحقيقيّة والمتخيّلة.
يموت الأب وتشبه جمانة في أنّ فصيلة الدم تنتمي إلى أبٍ آخر، فتقرّر أن تجري تحليلاً للدم في أحد المختبرات الإسرائيليّة، لتواجه ما يعانيه الفلسطينيّون في المناطق الرازحة تحت الإحتلال، ولتكتشف أنّها لا تنتمي إلاّ إلى نفسها كإنسان وحيد في هذا العالم...
هذا العمل فاز بمنحة "آفاق للتفرّغ الكتابي" في العام 2011.
