في حوار داخلي، متخيل، مع أبطال روايتها تنسج سحر مندور خيوط "حب بيروتي". هي قصة اجتماعية تحكي عن الحب، ولكن بطريقة غير مألوفة، وبكلام آخر جريئة في خطابها، هي قصة حديثة جداً، ونعني بالحداثة هنا، ميل الحب إلى الوضع الراهن الذي يميل بدوره إلى ذروة "الانفتاح" كما تسميه ماجدة بطلة الرواية، أي صديقة أحمد، فالإثنان جمعهما حب خمسة سنوات، وبعد ذلك تطرح ماجدة فكرة الزواج على أحمد فيرفض أو يتهرب لتقوم هي بعد قطيعة أيام بردة فعل سلبية تقترح فكرة "العلاقة المفتوحة" أي أن يقوم كل منهما بتجريب العلاقة مع أشخاص آخرين.
تبدأ ماجدة خياناتها المعلنة بعشاء يدعوها إليه مروان ثم بيار ثم غيرهما وهم كثر، بينما تأخر أحمد في قبول فكرة أن يخونها، إلى أن تعرف ألى كارمن وبعد لقاءين وجد نفسه في دائرة الخيانة دون أن يفكر حتى بماجدة...
تتوالى الأحداث في الرواية ليكتشف كل واحد منهما أنه لا يزال يحب الآخر، ولكن أهل من عودة؟
رواية شفافة وجريئة في آن حاولت الولوج في عوالم العلاقات العاطفية وتالياً الجنسية، تمكنت سحر منداور من وصفها وإبراز أهم منعرجاتها في لغة بسيطة تتراوح بين المحكية والفصحى.
بيتها قريب، وصلت بسرعة واحترت في أمري هل أترك لها "مسيدكول" أم أن هذه العادة ليست مستحبة مع الناضجات؟
ولماذا الحيرة؟ ما أبخلني! بالتأكيد سأطلبها وأبلغها بوصولي كأي رجل محترم ناضج.
