يعالج هذا الكتاب الصراع المحتدم في دارفور المشرّع على المجازر ورائحة الدم والموت وغياب جدّية المجتمع الدولي في وضع حدّ للمأساة. ويتقصّى تاريخ الدارفوريين المنقسمين إثنيّتَين، أفريقية وعربية، متناحرتَين حدَّ الإبادة. ويتطرّق إلى الدور الذي لعبه أركان السلطة في الخرطوم في إثارة الفتنة الإثنية ضدّ مسلمي دارفور. كما يستعرض الدور القذر الذي لعبته ميليشيات الجنجويد في تهجير شعبٍ بكامله وإبادته وزرع الموت في كلّ مدينة وقرية في صحراء دارفور.
