قبل البداية وقبل الغوص فى أعماق بحثى هذا, الذى يحلل السحب السوداء التى تجمعت فوق إقليم دارفور فى الأعوام الخمسة والعشرين الماضية, والتى انطلقت فى انفجار رهيب للعنف والقتل والتدمير, فإننى أؤكد أن بحثى هذا, لا أقصد منه النيل والانقاص من أى حزب أو تجمع أو فرد أو مجتمع أو شعب أو, من بعض سكان إقليم دارفور السوداني بشكل خاص, كما أننى لا أسعى إلى تبديل الحقائق والوقائع التى جرت والتى تحصل الآن فى هذا الأقليم السودانى, أو الانحياز إلى موقف الحكومة السودانية فى معالجتها للمشكلة الدارفورية الواقعة على رأس شعب السودان... كما أننى و كإنسان مطلع على هذه القضية المشكلة أدين وصف الأمم المتحدة لها, والتى قالت وصفها لها / إنها أسوأ كارثة إنسانية فى العالم؟!/ كما أنى أكدب ما قالته الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية عن مشكلة دارفور/ الإبادة الجماعية؟!/.
إن كتابى هذا يجيب عن معظم الاستفسارات فى مشكلة دارفور, لقد تعمدت وضع هذا العنوا لكتابى/ لماذا دارفور الآن وإلى أين؟/, ولكنى وجدت أن من الأفضل تسميته بالعاصفة السوداء..
