الرواية عمل متفرد في تقنياته الفنية وفي معالجته لموضوع إنساني بروعة التعبير التلقائي السهل سهولة ممتنعة، إنها تحكي قصة حياة أربعة نساء يمثلن ثلاثة أجيال من قاع المجتمع الإنساني في ، لازمان ، واضح وضوح المكان الذي يكشف النفس في داخلها وخارجها، وعبر علاقة النساء الأربعة بالرجال تقدم الرواية عدة نماذج للرجال نراهم عرايا نفسياً بفضل الرؤى النسائية لهم. وخلال ذلك نرى السماوي مختلطاً بالأرض والخير مختلطاً بالشر. والحب مختلطاً بالكراهية. الرواية كلها مونولوج في حوار للنفس في داخلنا مع داخلها. بلغة فتاة مراهقة متخلفة عقلياً لكنها كبيرة القلب. وبهذا إستحقت هذه الرواية جائزة (هيرالدي) للرواية، أما الكاتب فقد عرفته إسبانيا مع أول جائزة له عن قصة قصيرة عنوانها العظمة الأكثر إيلاماً عام1997.
