تشفق على نفسها من أي فرح يمرق في سمائها، فقد يعقبه تلبّد غيوم الكآبة بلا سبب سوى الحنين. ضحكتها لا تضاهى، كأنها تصدر من شخص ثالث غير مرئي بيننا. ها هي تنتفض تاركة كومة الورق بين يديها لتبدأ طقوس جنونها الزرباوية، تملأ الجو برائحة عطرية مخضرة القلب، وتضع سماعة الأذن كحد فاصل بينها وبين هرائي وتغلق منافذ العقل، لتستمر لوحتها الراقصة كطير ذبيح لساعة أو أكثر ثم ترتمي أرضاً.. ربما تبكي بصمت إلا من موسيقا الدموع، ثم تصبّ قدحاً من الشاي وهي تتنهّد بوجع كبير هامسة:
- لم يعد في العمر متسع لحلم أو انتظار يا صديقتي..
