- كون دراسة حياة الأجداد تُربّي أخلاق الأبناء والأحفاد لما فيها من الحكمة البالغة والموعظة الحسنة.
- غياب المصادر المتخصِّصة والمراجع ذات الصلة، وملاحظة الجدب المروِّع في هذا التخصُّص.
- كون السير الصوفيّة الذاتية وسيلةً لفهم التطوُّر الديني الاجتماعي، والاطلاع على التاريخ الفعلي الحيّ عبر مَن عاشوه، لا من خلال التاريخ الميت الذي يتعامل مع الإنسان كرقم أو كقالب جبس أو كقيمة مادية.
-سبعمئة من أهم الشخصيات الصوفيّة التي كان لها تأثيرٌ بالغٌ ودور فاعل في المجتمع وقيمه وسلوك أفراده اختارها فضيلة الشيخ ليغطّي مختلف الطرق الصوفيّة وشيوخها، مُشيراً إلى وقت ظهور كل طريقة وكيفية دخولها القطر الليبي. وأهم أعمال التصوُّف التي جرت، وأسانيدها الصوفيّة وأهم رجالاتها الذين يكتسب التأريخ لهم دلالة صوفيّة وعلميّة بالنظر إلى شخصياتهم المميَّزة وإلى ما عاصروه من أحداث، ولوزنهم وأثرهم ودلالاتهم العلميّة والشخصيّة، ولتأثيرهم في ليبيا وخارجها.
- موسوعةٌ عن التصوُّف جاءت الأوسع والأشمل والأدقّ، لتعوِّض نقصاً كبيراً في المكتبة العربيّة حَوْل تراجم الشيوخ الصوفييّن في أرجاء الوطن العربي والجوار.
