وإذا ضقت ذرعا بدواعي نفسك فاسكن إلى زوجتك، فإن ضقت ذرعا فإلى أهل علمك، فإن ضقت فإلى أهل معرفتك، فإن ضقت فسر في الأرض، فإن ضقت فالزم بابي فإن ضقت فيه فاصبر فإن ضقت فيه فاصبر وينفتح لك نوره ولا يخرج عنه على ضيق وصابر عليه وانتظر
والميل إلى الوحدة لا يجعل له تلاميذ يحملون أفكاره ودوام الإرتحال يؤدي إلى جهل الناس به وعدم التعرف عليه كما أننا يمكن أن نعتبر أسلوبه شديد الرمزية والذي يصعب على كثير من الناس فهمه وإدراك مراميه أحد الأسباب أنه لم يأخذ حقه في الذيوع والإنتشار
والمحصلة أن ما نعرفه عن حياة النفري قليل فكان جوالا زاهدا. وتوفي بأرض مصر سنة 354 هـ وهذا التحديد تدعمه أسانيد كثيرة تظهرها الدراسة التي بين يديك .
