أيمن بكر ناقد وأكاديمي مصري من مواليد 1969 حاصل على الدكتوراه من جامعة القاهرة، يعمل حاليا أستاذا مساعدا للأدب والنقد في جامعة الخليج للعلوم والتكنولوجيا بالكويت؛ له عدة كتب في النقد الأدبي منها السرد في مقامات الهمذاني (1998)، وتشكلات الوعي وجماليات القصة (2002)، وقصيدة النثر العربية (2009).

دقات المسرح تعلن عن لحظة فتح الستارة. انتصبت رقبة توفيق، ثم لم يتمالك نفسه من الوقوف منتفضا مع ظهور الآنسة أم كلثوم أمام تختها. كان تصفيقه عنيفا ومتصلا، وقد انهمرت الدموع على وجنتيه من دون أن يشعر بها. لم ينتبه لتوقف باقي الجمهور عن التصفيق، حتى جذبه محمود الزيات برفق من سترته.
تعطلت حواس توفيق طوال الحفل، إلا من استقبال صوت أم كلثوم، وتعبيرات وجهها، وحركات جسدها، والنغمات التي نفذت واستقرت دون استئذان في روحه. بعد انتهاء الوصلة الأخيرة، خرج غير منتبه ليد محمود الزيات الممدودة بالسلام. سار في الشارع متبخترا، وهو على يقين بأنه أكثر الناس سعادة على وجه البسيطة. كل المارة في شارع عماد الدين كانوا يرددون معه: «إن كنت أسامح وأنسى الأسية.. ما أخلصش عمري من لوم عنيا».
