كل إنسان يشعر بفطرته أن ثمة واحدا قد نظم هذا العالم ودبره، لا يمكن أن يشابه الممكنات في شيء في صفاتها، فليس بجسم ولا عرض ولا محدود، ولا متحيز، ولا يستطاع إدراكه إلا بآثاره الشاخصة، وهو غير قابل للحلول ولا للصعود ولا للنزول.
إلى ذلك اهتدى الأعرابي بفطرته فقال: «البعرة تدل على البعير، وأثر الأقدام يدل على المسير. فسماء ذات أبراج، وأرض ذات فجاج، كيف لا تدلان على اللطيف الخبير». فجاء الإسلام مصدقًا لما اقتضته الفطرة السليمة ولم يزد في الاستدلال شيئًا سوى أن أيقظ العقول ونبهها إلى النظر في آثار الله تعالى، فما عليك ألا تتصفح القرآن الكريم فتجد ذلك في أكثر من آية من آياته.
