ضم الجهاز التناسلي الذكري العضو التناسلي الذكري: كيس الصفن والذي يضم الخصيتين وهي المنتجة للحيوانات المنوية. القنوات التناسلية التي تتكون البربخ متصل بوعاء ناقل يصل بدوره إلى الإحليل. الغدد التناسلية وتضم كل من الحويصلة المنوية والبروستاتا وغدة كوبر والتي تقوم معا بتكوين بقية مكونات السائل المنوي أو تقوم بوظائف مساعدة.
الأعضاء التناسلية الخارجية المساعدة، متمثلة بالقضيب والتي تنحصر مهمتها في إيصال الحيوانات المنوية إلى الرحم الإنثوي عن طريق الإيلاج.
يضم الجهاز التناسلي الأنثوي: المبيضان ويكونان البويضات والهرمونات الجنسية الأنثوية. الرحم وقناتي البيض التي تعمل كممر للحيوانات المنوية عند الإخصاب ومكان انزراع الجنين.المهبل وهو الأنبوب الذي ينقل إفرازات الرحم للخارج ويخرج منه الوليد وتسبح منه الحيوانات المنوية للداخل، وهو بيئة حمضية تعيق تكاثر الجراثيم. الأعضاء التناسلية الخارجية المساعدة وتشمل الشفرين الكبيرين والصغيرين.
