أحمد بن بدير، شهاب الدين الحلاق البديري: مؤرخ شعبي دمشقي.
من ناظمي الزجل، وفيه نزعة صوفية.
صنف (حوادث دمشق اليومية - ط) في تاريخ ما بين 1154 و 1175 هـ (1741 - 1762 م) وكان يعيش من الحلاقة.
كتب يومياته بما يقرب من العامية.
ووقعت نسختها في يد الشيخ محمد سعيد القاسمي (والد شيخنا الكبير جمال الدين) فهذبها وأصلحها.
وتسلمها الدكتور أحمد عزت عبد الكريم فعلق عليها ووقف على نشرها
