له نيف وثلاثون كتابا، منها كتاب (المعمرين - ط) و (النخلة - ط) و (ما تلحن فيه العامة) و (الشجر والنبات) و (الطير) و (الاضداد - ط) و (الوحوش) و (الحشرات) و (الشوق إلى الوطن) و (العشب والبقل) و (الفرق بين الآدميين وكل ذي روح) و (المختصر) في النحو على مذهب الاخفش وسيبويه.
وله شعر جيد .
