درج الباحثون والدارسون في أدب كنفاني على اعتباره أديباً سياسياً اكتسب قيمته من قيمة القضية التي يمثلها، ولو أن معظمهم اعتبره أديباً سياسياً ومناضلاً في وقت واحد إلا أنهم عند معالجة أدبه كانوا يبحثون عن القضية الفلسطينية. لذا سيحاول هذا البحث أن يكشف عن مدى كونية أدب الكاتب-إذا صح التعبير-أي أن يبين إلى أي مدى استطاع كنفاني أن يلج إلى أعماق النفس البشرية ويصل إلى عمق مكنوناتها متخطياً حدود الآني الذي يذهب بذهاب زمانه.
