يقاتل بسيفين في الوقت ذاته، يتملك مهاراتٍ مثاليةً في معظم أنواع الفنون القتالية للساموراي المحترف، ويُعتبر موهبةً استثنائيةً ذو قدراتٍ حربيةٍ خارقة، بالإضافة إلى قوى عقلية وثبات لا مثيل له، وشجاعةٌ لا يشق لها غبار.
اسمه مياموتو موساشي (Miyamoto Musashi) ، وهو أعظم مبارزٍ بالسيف عرفته امبراطورية اليابان العريقة، وصاحب أسطورة الساموراي الأشهر في اليابان كلها، كما عُرفت قصصه وحكايات انتصاراته في كل البلاد على مدى قرون، حتى وصلت إلى القرن العشرين لتكون أساساً لشخصيات أساطير الساموراي الطائرين المبارزين في أفلام الحركة الآسيوية ليُظهر فيها شجاعةً غير مسبوقة، وطموحاً بلا حدود، وحكمةً واسعة.
تقول بعض الأساطير أنه في إحدى المرات قام بقتالٍ فرديٍ ضد ستين شخصاً وهزمهم جميعاً، وأنه كان يقاتل بالسيفين في الوقت ذاته ويهزم أعدائه فيرديهم قتلى في وقت قياسي، وكان يحارب ببسالةٍ عظيمةٍ خلال الحروب فيقاتل ويقود الجيوش في الوقت ذاته.
أمّا عن إرثه الأعظم فهو كتابه الذي جمع فيه معارفه واسمه (كتاب اللفافات الخمسة) غو رِن نو شو (GO RIN NO SHO)، والذي لا يزال حتى الآن بعد أربعمائةٍ وخمسين (450) سنة يلهم القراء بتقنياته القتالية وحكمه العديدة.
