أحمد جاد الكريم كاتب روائي شاب من مدينة طهطا بمحافظة سوهاج، بدأ كتابة الشعر ثم اتجه في عام 2010 إلى كتابة القصة والرواية، في بداية عام 2014 حصلتْ روايته الأولى "ليالي السيد" على المركز الثاني في جائزة ساقية الصاوي، ثم قامت دار سما للنشر والتوزيع بإصدارها في يوليو الماضي، أما روايته الثانية "أحزان نوح" فقد حصلت على المركز الثالث في مسابقة المجلس الأعلى للثقافة في مايو 2014 وهي قيد النشر .

طُفت ما بين أقطار الدائرة، وأعادني الحنين إلى النقطة التي تولَّدتْ منها دائرتي، أصغيت لكلامك، وكلام كل مَن قابلتهم، وقلبت كل الأمور على وجوهها، وها أنا في صحراء لا يراودني إلا سرابها الأحمق، تركت الشيخ إسماعيل يغوص في خلوته أكثر، ترك لي فاطمةَ زوجةً، بولص نادته السماء على لسان العذراء فتركني، قدرنا الفراق والمغادرة لا الشمل والالتئام، كلما تنقَّل خطوي فارقت لا قاربت، تظللني سحابات الرحمة القُدسية التي تنزَّلتْ عليَّ يوما في ثنايا المقطم، وما بين تذكري للمتون التي كنت أُرددها في صحن الأزهر، ومذاكرتي بالليل معك، أو مختليا في منزلي، وعودتي بالفكر إلى نقطة الدائرة سفرٌ طويل يشبح النفس على خازوق الأماني، لم أجد ظلي يا شيخ يا عبد الرحمن، وقد حيرتني إذْ لم تجبني أهو بين سيوف المماليك أم بين بارود وأوراق الفرنسيين؟ هل أرحلُ إلى بلاد الشمال لأصير إفرنجيا بقبعة؟ أجيد ألسُن القوم المختلفة، وأتزوَّد من علومهم، ثم أعود لألقي ما تعلمته في آذان أولاد مصر أم أبقى هنا بين مروج الصعيد، وأزقة القاهرة؟!
