غالباً ما يقف المبدع المغامر ضد المعيارية والثبات في كتابة النص، وخصوصاً ما يتعلق بالنص الشعري، ومن هنا كان النص الشعري في مجموعة «تفاحة تخترق جداراً» مفتوحاً لا يقتصر على موضوع واحد. فعالم الشاعر نبيل أبو حمد يبدو أكثر انفتاحاً على عوالم الإنسان بمعناه الأكثر اتساعاً، وبكل ما يحيط به من شر وخير وفرح وحب وشوق ووئام وبكل ما يمنح الحياة والطبيعة والإنسان سر وجودهم ممّا يعني أن نصوص الشاعر تحمل روح العالمية. فالشعر هو في النهاية القدرة على إعادة صوغ مختلف الظواهر الحية والجامدة وضخّها في قصيدة، وهو أيضاً تعبير عن حركة أبدية اسمها الحياة، لا قوة تستطيع أن توقفها.. فالحياة إذا ما ابتسمتْ، استحقت أن نعيشَ لأجلها..
لنقرأ هذه القصة الشعرية الجميلة في القصيدة المعنونة: "وسائد شعر"، يقول الشاعر نبيل أبو أحمد:
"كانت تلعب بكرة الأثمال/ على رابية الحشيش/ ضحك لها/ دون أن يحرك نظره/ صدمت الطابة قدمه/ لم يحرك نظره/ أدركت أنه ضريراً/ كل يوم كانت الفتاة الجميلة/ تسمّع له دروسها/ وقصائد الشعر/ يرددانها سوية أغانيا/ مرت السنون/ كبرا سوية/ صار يرى بعينيها/ وصارت تعشق بقلبه/ حين تزوجا/ أنجبت له أطفالاً يبصرون/ وأنجب للعالم دواوين شعر/ كانت تطرزها على وسائد الحالمين".
يضم الكتاب (27) قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث، نذكر من العناوين: "تعبنا من التعب"، "تفاحة تخترق جداراً"، "وسائد شعر"، "أنغام برائحة الحبق"، "شحوب مرآة"، "لعنة"، "أرنب أبيض أطل من صدرها"، "مبروك"، "تعويض"، (...) وعناوين أخرى.
