القصة الأولى:
(رماد الجبال والنّار الخالدة)
تتحدث عن فكرة تقمّص الأرواح وآلهة الحب، وهي ببساطة قصة حب عابرة للزمن، وتطرح أفكار وحدة الوجود وخلود الروح وانتقالها من جسد إلى آخر، فتروي قصة فتى تموت حبيبته فتمنحهما الآلهة فرصة بحياة أخرى.
القصة الثانية:
(مرتا البانية)
تحكي قصة فتاة يتيمة تقع ضحية فارس غني يتبعه مجتمع كامل، ليحكي كيف أنها تموت وحيدة منبوذة وفقيرة، فلا يحضر دفنها إلا ابنها الوحيد وصديقه.
القصة الثالثة:
(يوحنا المجنون)
من القصص الأكثر عمقًا، وتتحدث عن تناقضات الدّين المسيحي بين التعاليم والواقع، وعن نبذ كل ما هو غير مألوف حتى ولو كان يبدو صوابًا
وتحكي قصة بلدة صغيرة يستبد بها الجهل ويتحكم الكهنة الفاسدون بمصائر العباد حتّى يأتي يوحنا متمردًا بعد أن يفعل المحظور على العامة وهو قراءة الكتاب المقدس، فيعرف تعاليم المسيح الحقيقيّة فيواجه الظّلم ما يجعل مصيره النّبذ و السجن و يتهم بالجنون.
