Book Description
عبدالرحمن الكواكبي هو أحد روّاد النهضة العربية ومفكريها في القرن التاسع عشر، وأحد مؤسسي الفكر القومي العربي، ومن أشهر كتبه كتاب "طبائع الاستبداد ومصارع الاستعباد"، والذي يعدّ من أهم الكتب العربية في القرن التاسع عشر التي تناقش ظاهرة الاستبداد السياسي.
ويعرض العقّاد في كتابه هذا سيرة هذا المفكّرالتّنويريّ، ويتحدّث عن ظروف نشأته، وتعليمه، ويعرض لنا نبذاتٍ عن مؤلّفاته، وبعض القضايا الّتي حاربها مثل استبداد الحكّام.
والعقّاد هو عباس محمود العقاد؛ أديب، وشاعر، ومؤرّخ ، وفيلسوف مصريّ، كرّسَ حياته للأدب، كما أنّه صحفيٌّ له العديد من المقالات، وقد لمع نجمه في الأدب العربيّ الحديث، وبلغ مرتبةً رفيعة.
ولد العقاد في محافظة أسوان سنة 1889، في أسرةٍ بسيطة الحال، فاكتفى بالتّعليم الابتدائيّ، ولكنّه لم يتوقّف عن سعيه الذّاتيّ للعلم والمعرفة، فقرأ الكثير من الكتب.
وقد ألّف ما يزيد على مئة كتاب، وتُعدّ كتب العبقريّات من أشهر مؤلّفاته.
توفّي سنة 1964، تاركًا خلفه ميراثًا أدبيًّا زاخرًا.
