يتعرّض إلى حياة العرب عبر التاريخ في شتّى النواحي، وأمجادهم التي سطّروها مع تعاقب العصور. ومصادر قوة العرب، ثمّ يتحدّث عن نشوء الدّولة العربيّة بعد ظهور نبيّ الإسلام، وعن القرآن الكريم، كما يورد فتوحات العرب ويناقشها، متتبّعًا أحداثها ونتائجها.
يؤرّخ لدولة العرب في سورية، وبغداد، و بلاد فارس والهند، ومصر، وإفريقية الشماليّة، والعرب في إسبانية، والعرب في صقلية وإيطالية وفرنسا. ثمّ يتطرّق إلى صراع النصرانيّة والإسلام.
يتناول طبائع العرب ونظمهم وعاداتهم، ويتحدّث عن أهل البدو وأهل الأرياف والمدن، ونظم العرب السياسيّة والاجتماعية، ويبحث في الدّين والأخلاق لديهم. كما يتطرّق لمواضيع شاملة مثل: مصادر معارف العرب من تعليمهم ومناهجهم، اللغة والفلسفة، الرياضيّات وعلم الفلك، الفيزياء وتطبيقاتها، العلوم الطبيعية والطبية، فن العمارة، تمدين العرب لأوروبا وتأثيرهم في الشرق والغرب.
