وتستقرئ هذه الدراسة أدبيات الحركة الوطنيّة الفلسطينية وممارساتها ومستوى أدائها في مواجهة الخطر المزدوج الذي تعرّض له وطنها: خطر الاستعمار البريطانيّ والمشروع الصهيونيّ معاً. وتتطرّق الدراسة بالتفاصيل للبنى الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والسياسيّة التي سادت في فلسطين في العقود الثلاثة موضع الدراسة، وتسجل دلالات هذا كلّه ونتائجه. صدرت طبعة هذا الكتاب الأولى في العام 1990، في نيقوسيا في قبرص.
